Our Round Win count continued increasing, after going 3 rounds in Top Sportsman last weekend, we picked up where we left off, going to the finals in the Gambler’s race on Friday night. On Saturday, our two qualifying passes were identical to the 330′ cone (identical to 4 digits at 60′, to 2 digits at 330) and only .01 off at the stripe, 5.79 on first pass to a 5.80 on second pass. In first round of the Gold Card race, we took the win with a 0.0008 second margin of victory, running a 5.82 on a 5.80 dial-in. However, not all was well, as a grinding noise occured under braking in the shut-down area. Upon returning to the pits, it was found that the pinion bearing had failed in the differential.

A mechanical failure was not the way we wanted to end the season. While we can say we ended the season on a win, an event win would have been much better than a round win.

We have alot of work to do, and alot of homework to do. We hope to have everything buttoned back up and see everybody at the track again in March.
